Psalm 138:4-7

All the kings of the earth shall give you thanks, O Lord, for they have heard the words of your mouth, and they shall sing of the ways of the Lord, for great is the glory of the Lord.  For though the Lord is high, he regards the lowly, but the haughty he knows from afar.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand delivers me.

Imagine when all the kings of the earth will acknowlege the Lord.  The glory of the Lord is so much greater than the glory of any of the leaders of the countries on earth.  My heart longs for when things will be made right again.  The Lord sees the lowly, all of the people that the leaders take advantage of in their countries.  The haughty he knows, but yet from afar.

What trouble are you walking in?  What enemies are you dealing with?  The Lord preserves our lives and He delivers us.  What comfort there is in these few verses.  He will make things right in a day coming up that only He knows.  He does see the poor, the afflicted, the lowly... He sees our trouble, He knows our enemies, and He perserves and delivers us.  My heart can rest in that today.
